Bromley boasts the area's major shopping
centre in the Glades where many household names can be found,
alongside a large number of smaller shops, restaurants and bars.
A thriving business community surrounds the town centre with
numerous large office complexes. Several health and sports clubs,
a theatre and a library are also close at hand to the town centre.
The town is well served by two train stations. The main station,
Bromley South serves London Victoria while Bromley North provides
a link to more immediate local stations and London Bridge. Due
to its rail links, Bromley is a popular commuter town for London.
Bromley has a very diverse range of properties. The town centre
has numerous newly built apartment complexes, while more traditional
terraced and semi-detached houses surround the immediate town
centre. A large number of properties are Victorian, some of
which have been converted to flats. Larger, detached houses
are available a mile or two from the town centre which is framed
by numerous parks and golf courses.
