BR1,
SUNDRIDGE PARK & WIDMORE PROPERTY GUIDE: |
Sundridge Park is bordered by College Road
to the west and Widmore Road to the south. With its own train
station, situated along Plaistow Lane and serving London Bridge,
and its proximity to Bromley North station, the area is popular
with city commuters. A large number of apartments, many recently
built, can be found near to the station, whilst many of the
larger Victorian houses which lie off the roads surrounding
the green open spaces of Sundridge Park golf course, have since
been converted into flats. This familiar mixture of large Victorian
conversions and modern apartment blocks can be found in the
wide, tree lined roads which border the centre of Bromley along
Tweedy Road, although narrower streets of Victorian terraces
can also be found. The area's largest properties lie along Sundridge
Avenue and many of the unmade roads of it.
Widmore, situated to the east of Bromley's town centre, is split
in two by the busy Widmore Road, a haven for the flat hunter
requiring only a short walk to Bromley North station. A bustling
parade of convenience stores and fast food outlets can also
be found along Widmore Road as you head towards Bickley. Terraces
and semi-detached housing dominate the south side of Widmore,
with the Homesdale Road providing a semi-industrial region housing
small businesses and yards. Housing becomes larger as you head
north, reverting back to neat, tree lined roads of Victorian
semis as you approach the Widmore Road from the south. The area's
largest properties can be found in Widmore Green along wide,
leafy roads.
WHO LIVES HERE? Commuters, families requiring good schools
and shops, wealthier families. |
